Section 12(B) in The West Bengal Universities (Control of Expenditure) Act, 1976
(B)In the case of a teacher drawing basic pay exceeding Rs. 1,800 in the existing scale, the initial pay in the revised scale shall be fixed under the provisions of Fundamental Rule 22, 23 and 31 and for this purpose, his pay in the existing scale shall be deemed to include the dearness allowance, if any, drawn by him.
