Section 1 in Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982.(2)It extends to the employments specified in the Schedule.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification, appoint; and different dates, may be appointed for different areas, for different employments and for different provisions of this Act.
