Section 56(1) in Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961
(1)Every land in the transferred territory or part thereof shall, if such land or part thereof has not been surveyed in accordance with the provisions contained in the [Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969 as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923 ([Tamil Nadu] [Substituted for the word 'Madras' by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws Order, 1969 as amended by the Tamil Nadu Adaptation of Laws (Second Amendment) Order, 1969.] Act VIII of 1923), be surveyed in accordance with the provisions of that Act [xxx] [The words 'within a period of three years from the date of the publication of this Act' were omitted by section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Amendment Act, 1965 (Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 1965).].
