Section 3(i) in The U.P. Food and Civil Supplies (Marketing Branch) Service Rules, 1981
(i)"appointing authority" in respect of the post of Deputy Regional Marketing Officer means the Commissioner, Food and Civil Supplies and in respect of the posts of Regional Marketing Officer, Deputy Regional Food Controller and Chief Marketing Officer means the Governor;
