(6)When a vacancy occurs in the Senate by resignation or death of a Fellow or otherwise the vacancy shall be filled in the manner provided in sub-section (1) :Provided that the person who fills such vacancy shall hold office for the unexpired period of the term for which the person in whose place he became a Fellow would have otherwise continued in office.
