Section 14(1) in The Orissa Grama Panchayats Act, 1964
(1)As soon as may be after the publication under Section 15 of the names of the members elected at a general election such members shall at the first meeting of the Grama Panchayat specially convened in that behalf elect in the prescribed manner from among themselves a Naib-Sarpanch :[* * *] [Omitted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 426/18.4.1994-Notification No. 6139-Legislative/18.4.1994.][Provided [* * *] [Added vide Orissa Act No. 25 of 1992.] that in the case of every Grama Panchayat, the Sarpanch elected under Clause (a) of Sub-Section (1) of Section 10 or nominated under Section 13 is not a woman, the office of the Naib-Sarpanch in respect of that Grama Panchayat shall be deemed to have been reserved for women.] [Inserted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 1391/12.12.1995-Notification No.19454-Legislative/ 12.12.1995.]
