Section 5 in The Chennai Corporation Engineering Service Rules, 1969
5. Probation.
- A person appointed to any category under any class, either by promotion or by direct recruitment shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
