(a)fine imposed under section 10 of the Act or under clause (b) of rule 30 or sub-clause (v) of clause (a) of rule 31 may be recovered in the following manner, that is to say :-(i)By the officer imposing the fine from the pay and allowances and other public money due to the person on whom the fine is imposed;(ii)If the officer imposing the fine is unable to recover the same he shall send a certified copy of the order to the District Magistrate or the Chief Presidency Magistrate, as the case may be, having jurisdiction in the area in which the fine has been inflicted, and such Magistrate shall recover the fine in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, as if it had been imposed by him, and shall remit the amount recovered to the officer concerned.
