Section 6 in The Chhattisgarh Municipal Service (Executive) Rules, 1973
6. Age.
- A candidate for direct recruitment must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of [30 years] [Substituted by Notification No. F-4-367/2004/18, dated 27-8-2005] on the first day of January next following the year in which the recruitment is made :Provided that the upper age limit in case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, shall be relaxed up to maximum of five years :Provided further that the upper age limit in respect of candidates who are either employees in the Municipal Councils of the State or in State Government employment shall be relaxable up to the age of thirty eight years.[Provided that the age limit in relation to direct recruitment, the directions issued by the State Government from time to time shall be applicable.] [Added by Notification No. F-4-367/2004/18, dated 27-8-2005]
