Section 98 in The Bihar Panchayat Election Rules, 2006
98. Equality of votes.
- If after completion of counting of votes two or more candidates are found to have secured equal number of votes, which are highest, the Presiding Officer shall draw a lot between such candidates, and the candidate in whose favour the lot is drawn shall deemed to be having secured an additional vote and the Presiding Officer shall declare the result accordingly.
