(4)Special casual leave, not counting against ordinary casual leave, may be allowed, to an employee who is detained in a plague camp on the way to rejoin duty, or who is ordered by the appointing authority to absent himself from duty on the certificate of a medical officer on account of the presence of infectious diseases in his house, provided no substitute is appointed. The following diseases are treated as infectious:-(a)Smallpox.(b)Chicken pox.(c)Plague.(d)Cholera.(e)Typhoid.(f)Acute influenza pneumonia.(g)Diphtheria.(h)Cerebro-spinal meningitis.
