SHRI ASIT KUMAR MAL (BOLPUR): Hon. Speaker, Sir, I would like to draw your kind attention to the increasing number of cases of snake bites and dog bites during the seasons of monsoon and autumn.
As a result, a large number of people throughout the country, including West Bengal, are losing their lives prematurely. There is an extreme short supply of antivenom and antidotes in the Government hospitals.
I would like to draw the special attention of the hon. Prime Minister to this serious problem. I would like to request that antivenom and antidotes medicines may be supplied urgently to the Government hospitals to prevent premature deaths from snake bites and dog bites. Thank you.
