Mr. D.K. Adhikari ...For the Petitioner

                 Mr. Abhratosh Majumder
Mr. Billwadal Bhattacharyya ...For the State Respondents

Mr. Swapan Banerjee Mr. Sibssish Chatterjee Mr. S. Mitra ...For the Private Respondent The petitioner as a pro bono publico has approached this Court seeking setting aside of the student council election held on December 22, 2014 in Bikram Tudu Memorial Collecte Barabarar in the District of Purulia. According to him, the election was held in total derogation of democratic system of conducting the election hence it violated the provisions of Constitution of India and the entire fiasco is due to non-compliance of fair procedure, therefore, the election of the student council with the help of the police officials ought to be directed.

According to the petitioner, a dubious method was adopted so as to see 12 candidates declared as elected uncontested.

We fail to understand how general public is interested in the election process of student council election held in a particular institution. If any of the unsuccessful candidate is interested to challenge the said election, it has to be done in proper manner before the appropriate forum.

The learned Counsel appearing for the College Management submits already a writ petition was filed, being W.P. 33295 (W) of 2014, which was disposed of on December 19, 2014.

In terms of the order passed in the said writ petition, proceedings, if any, may have to be initiated by affected persons.

So far as the present petition, we are of the opinion, there is no interest of any nature where the general public at large is affected, therefore, the petition fails and is hereby dismissed.

There would be no order as to costs.
