Section 41 in The Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
41. Leave of Transport Manager. - (1) Leave of absence may be granted from time to time to the Transport Manager by the Transport Committee with the assent of the Corporation.
(2)The allowance to be paid to the Transport Manager whilst so absent on leave shall be of such amount, not exceeding the amount of his salary, as shall be fixed by the Corporation.(3)During the absence on leave or other temporary vacancy in the office of the Transport Manager the Transport Committee, with the assent of the Corporation, may appoint a person to act as Transport Manager; every person so appointed shall exercise the powers and perform the duties conferred and imposed on the Transport Manager and shall be subject to the same liabilities, restrictions and conditions to which the Transport Manager is liable and shall receive such monthly salary, not exceeding the salary for the time being payable to the Transport Manager, as the Corporation shall determine.Disqualifications of the Commissioner
