301. Choosing jurors by lot.
- In every trial by jury, the jurors shall be chosen by lot in the following manner, namely:-The Clerk of the State shall cause to be placed together in one box cards containing the numbers of all the persons summoned to serve on the jury in accordance with the order in which their names occur in the list of jurors except those who may have been exempted from attendance. The cards shall as nearly as possible be of the same size. The Clerk of the State shall then in open Court cause the box to be shaken so as to disarrange the cards and then draw or cause to be drawn out of the said box so many of the said cards one after another, as may be required to make up the number of the jury.
