Section 21(iv) in The Chennai Corporation (Superior) Service Pension Rules, 1970
(iv)The claim of a member of the service to the retirement benefits shall be regulated by the rules in force at the time when the member of the service retires or is retired or discharged from service or where the member of service dies while in service immediately before death.
