Section 17(1) in Tamil Nadu Entertainments Tax Act, 1939
(1)No suit, prosecution or other proceeding shall lie against any.officer or servant of the [State] [Substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government, for any act done or purporting to be done under this Act, without the previous sanction of the [State] [Substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] Government.
