Section 6(2)(a) in Prevention Of Collision On National Waterways Regulations, 2002
(a)By all vessles(i)The state of visibility;(ii)The traffic density including concentaration of fishing vessel or other vessles;(iii)The manoeuvrability of the vessel with special reference to stopping distance and turning ability, in the prevailing conditions;(iv)The state of the river, wind, current and the proximity of navigational hazards;(v)State and avaibility of shore, navigational aids and channel marking by day and night;(vi)Speed restrictions imposed by the waterway authority;(vii)The draught of the vessel in relation to available depth of water; and(viii)At nights, the presence of background light such as from the shore lights or from the back scatter of her own lights.
