Mr. C.B. Gururaj, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was the van driver and while reversing the vehicle, the toddler was run over accidentally. Accordingly, the counsel submits that while the petitioner is not Signature Not Verified Digitally signed by NITIN TALREJA Date: 2023.03.14 challenging the conviction, the sentence of six months imposed upon 16:40:45 IST Reason:

the van driver should be reduced appropriately. It is further 1 pointed out that the petitioner has already been in jail since 2 months 7 days.
Issue notice.
In the meantime, the petitioner – M. G. Thimmaiah is directed to be released on bail subject to appropriate conditions to be imposed by the trial court.
