(1)The Academic Council shall be in charge of the academic affairs of the University and shall consist of the following members, namely:-(i)the Vice-Chancellor;(ii)the Director of Research Services;(iii)the Director of Extension Services;(iv)the Director of Instructions and Student Welfare;(v)the Dean of Faculties:(vi)one teacher from each faculty of the University to be elected from amongst themselves in the manner prescribed by Statutes:(vii)two persons, not being employees of the University co-opted by the Academic Council for their special knowledge in subject recognized by the University.
