(2)A person may apply to the Sarpanch of the Grama Panchayat for being enlisted as a contractor of the Grama Panchayat. The application shall be accompanied with a fee of rupees one hundred only duly deposited in the Grama Panchayat. The Sarpanch shall place the application in the next meeting of the Grama Panchayat for consideration. After the Grama Panchayat approves the candidature the name of the applicant shall be included in the list of contractors.
