Section 85 in Maharashtra Hereditary Offices Act, 1874
85. Act not to affect Bombay Act VIII of 1867.
- Nothing in this Act contained shall be deemed to affect [Bombay Act VIII of 1867] [The Bombay Village Police Act 1867.] or any other law for the time being in force, defining the duties, and powers of village officers or imposing penalties for misconduct and all references in such laws to [Act XI of 1843] [Act 11 of 1843 was repealed by Section 2 of this Act.] shall be taken as made to this Act.
