- Whoever knowingly gives or causes to be given a false alarm of fire to the fire brigade of the Government or the Corporation or a municipality or to any officer or fireman thereof, whether by means of a street fire alarm, statement, message or otherwise, or with intent to give such false alarm wilfully breaks the glass of, or otherwise damages, a street fire alarm, shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may exten to three months or with fine which may extend to one hundred rupees, or with both.
