58. Persons deemed to be public servants.
- All persons acting by the authority of the State Government or of any State Road authority while exercising their powers and performing their duties and functions under this Act or any of the rules made thereunder shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (45 of 1860).
