ARUN PALLI, J. (ORAL)

The petitioner-association purport to have approached this Court in public interest and pray for a mandamus directing respondents No. 1 to 4 to stop the functioning of a liquor vend situated in Sector 69, SAS Nagar, Mohali or to shift the same from the present location, for it is situated in the vicinity of Grecian Hospital and Doon International School, Sector 69, Mohali.

2. It is urged that petitioner-association had even approached different authorities as regards their grievance, in the first instance, vide representations dated 13.05.2019 (Annexure P-5), 06.06.2019 (Annexure P-6) 21.08.2019 (Annexure P-7), but to no avail. Rather, having argued the matter at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that let this petition be disposed of, at this stage, only with a direction to the respondent-authorities to consider and deal with the concern raised by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a specified time.
