Section 8(1) in The Bihar and Orissa Medical Act, 1916
(1)The term of office of a member elected or nominated under [sub-section (1) of Section 4 or under] [Substituted for the words and figure 'Section 4 or' by Bihar Act 16 of 1947.] Section 5 shall commence from the date of the publication of his name under Section 7 and shall, subject to the provisions of Sections 10 and 11, extend to a period of three years from such date [and shall include any further period which may elapse between the expiration of the said period of three years and the date of the first meeting of the newly constituted Council at which a quorum is present] [Added by Bihar Act 16 of 1947.],
