Section 21 in The Haryana Ceiling of Land Holdings Act, 1972
21. Penalty for making false statement.
(1)If any person fails to furnish a declaration as required by section 9, or during the course of any proceedings under this Act makes a declaration or statement or furnishes any information which is false or which he knows or has reasons to believe to be false or which he does not believe to be true, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to [two years] [Substituted by Haryana Act 17 of 1976.], or with fine which may extend to [two thousand rupees] [Substituted by Haryana Act 17 of 1976.], or with both.(2)[ If any person secures an allotment by furnishing information which is false or which he knows or has reason to believe to be false or which he does not believe to be true, he shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to two years, or with fine which may extend to two thousand rupees, or with both.(3)No court shall take cognizance of an offence punishable under sub-section (1) or sub-section (2) except on a complaint made by the prescribed authority] [Substituted by Haryana Act 40 of 1976.]
