Section 17(2) in The Bihar Evacuee Property (Management) Act 1953
(2)Any payment made otherwise than in accordance with sub-section (1) shall not discharge the person paying it from his obligation to pay the amount due, and shall not affect the right of the Committee to enforce such obligation against any such person.
