Section 16(2)(v) in Uttar Pradesh Krishi Utpadan Mandi Adhiniyam, 1964

(v)collect and disseminate all such information as may be of advantage to the producers and other persons engaged in the sale or purchase of specified agricultural produce and in particular keep itself informed of the prevailing prices of such agricultural produce at places. where it can be profitably expect ed and from where it can be economically imported in the Market Area;
