Section 6(3) in THE MAJOR PORT AUTHORITIES ACT, 2021
(3)An Independent Member shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of his appointment or up to the age of seventy years, whichever is earlier and shall be eligible for re-appointment:Provided that no Independent Member shall hold office for more than two terms:Provided further that an Independent Member shall not, during the said period of three years, be appointed to or be associated with any Major Port Authority in any other capacity, either directly or indirectly.
