Section 43 in The Calcutta Improvement Act, 1911

43. Preparation, publication and transmission of notice as to improvement scheme, and supply of documents to applicants. -

(1)When any improvement scheme has been framed, the Board shall prepare a notice, stating -
(a)the fact that the scheme has been framed,
(b)the boundaries of the area comprised in the scheme, and
(c)the place at which particulars of the scheme, a map of the area comprised in the scheme, and a statement of the land which it is proposed to acquire [and of the land in regard to which it is proposed to recover a betterment fee] [Words inserted by Ben. Act 8 of 1931.], may be seen at reasonable hours.
(2)The Board shall -
(i)cause the said notice to be published weekly for three consecutive weeks in the [Official Gazette] [Words substituted by the Government of India (Adaptation of Indian Laws) Order, 1937.] and in local newspapers, with a statement of the period within which objections will be received, and
(ii)[ send a copy of the notice to the Commissioner of the Corporation, to the Chairman of any Municipality constituted under the Bengal Municipality Act, 1932, to the General Manager of the Calcutta Metropolitan Water and Sanitation Authority and to the Chief Executive Officer of the Calcutta Metropolitan Development Authority within whose jurisdiction any portion of the area comprised in the scheme is situated] [Clause (ii) by W. B. Act 42 of 1983.].
(3)The Chairman shall cause copies of all documents referred to in clause (c) of sub-section (1) to be delivered to any applicant on payment of such fee as may be prescribed by rule made under section 138.
