12. Power to close shops temporarily.
- If any riot or unlawful assembly is apprehended or occurs in the vicinity of any shop in which any intoxicating liquor is sold, the District Magistrate may require such shop to be kept closed for such period as he may think necessary;Provided that the District Magistrate who makes direction under this section shall forthwith inform the Commissioner and the Superintendent of Excise & Narcotics concerned of his action and the reason thereof.CHAPTER - III Import, Export and Transport
