Section 72(1) in Gauhati Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
(1)Appointment to posts referred to in sub-section (1) of section 67 and to posts carrying a maximum salary not below one thousand rupees per month should be made on the recommendation of the Assam Public Service Commission.
