Section 140(2) in The Orissa Co-operative Societies Rules, 1965
(2)The application shall be in such form as may be prescribed by the [Auditor-General] [Substituted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 500, dated 23.4.1997.] and shall be signed by a person duly authorised by the Board or Committee of the State Land Development Bank or Land Development Bank. On receipt of the application, the Principal Officer of the Co-operative Department having jurisdiction over the area in which the land is situated shall, if satisfied that the particulars set forth in the application are correct, prepare a demand notice in duplicate, in the form laid down by the [Auditor-General] [Substituted vide Orissa Gazette Extraordinary No. 500, dated 23.4.1997.] setting forth the name of the defaulter, the amount due together with interest and forward the same to the Sale Officer.
