74. Sanction of Excise Commissioner required in certain cases.
(1)Application for licence to a manufacturer, requiring the order of the Excise Commissioner for fixation of quantities, shall be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, who shall forward it to the Excise Commissioner, with his recommendations. The Excise Commissioner may pass such orders as he may deem necessary for fixation of possession limit, annual as well as one time basis.(2)The licence shall be granted by the Deputy Commissioner.
