Need For Creation Of A Post Of Divisional Manager (Sales) €“ Indian Oil Company At ... on 15 March, 2002
Title: Need for creation of a post of Divisional Manager (Sales) – Indian Oil Company at Dimapur in Nagaland -Laid.
SHRI K. A. SANGTAM (NAGALAND) : The Indian Oil Company Ltd. (Assam Oil Division) had opened an office of the Divisional Manager (Sales) at Dimapur in Nagaland to supervise and administer the state affairs of various Petroleum Products and distribution system in the state. But, about a decade ago, this office had been shifted to Tinsukia in Assam, for reasons best known to them and now only the Deputy Manager (Sales) of the I O C (AOD) is functioning in Dimapur.
In view of the fast growing traffic and a tremendous demand for petroleum products in the State of Nagaland , there is an urgent need for the post of the Divisional Manager (Sales) to be located in the State of Nagaland. The situation demands this, as Nagaland is a full-fledged State with a sizeable population. The office of the Divisional Manager is operating outside the State of Nagaland, and it is over 400 k.m. from the actual hub of the commercial centre of Nagaland.
I, therefore request the Government of India to create the post of the Divisional Manager (Sales) Indian Oil Company (Assam Oil Division) at Dimapur in Nagaland at the earliest.
