Section 157(1) in Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994
(1)When the Government is informed that a Zila Parishad has made default in performing any duty imposed on it, by or under this Act, or by or under any law for the time being in force, and if satisfied, after due inquiry that the Zila Parishad has failed in performance of such duty, it shall fix a period for the performance of that duty :Provided that no such period shall be fixed unless the Zila Parishad is given an opportunity to show-cause why such an order shall not be made.
