Section 83(1)(iii) in The Tamil Nadu Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1957

(iii)Subject to .the rates mentioned in (i) above, a licensee may charge a rate other than the rate endorsed in the "C" from licence, for any film for a specified period with due advance notice to the licensing authority and the Commercial Tax authority and with proper endorsement made by the Licensing Authority in the "C" form licence.
