Section 24(5)(a) in Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit Act, 1994

(a)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-sections (1) to (4), the Chancellor may, on the advice of the Government, appoint a suitable person who has not completed sixty-two years of age as the first Vice-Chancellor on a part-time or wholetime basis for a period not exceeding thirty months.
