Section 3(g) in The East Punjab Children Act, 1949
(g)"fit person", in relation to the care of any child, includes any society or body corporate established for the reception or protection of poor children or the prevention of cruelty to children which undertakes to bring up or to give facilities for bringing up any child entrusted to its care in conformity with religion of its birth;
