Section 17(1) in First Statutes of the Jai Narayan Vyas University Jodhpur
(1)Members of the teaching staff in the University shall consist of the following categories:(a)servants of the University paid by the University and appointed by the Syndicate as Professors, Readers or Lecturers or otherwise as teachers of the University, or(b)persons appointed by the Syndicate as honorary Professors, Readers or Lecturers or otherwise as teachers of the University.
