Section 7(iv) in The Revised Orissa Old Age Pension Rules, 1989
(iv)Verification of application and enquiry at Panchayat Samiti - Each Extension Officer, on receipt of the application from the Block Development Officer will enquire into the eligibility of the applicant in terms of Rule 5 read with Rule 7 (vi) and (vii) and record his findings on the body of the application and submit it to the Block Development Officer within a period of 30 days. In case of necessity to verify the land records, the Extension Officer concerned shall either personally or through the V.L.W. concerned contact the Revenue Inspector of that area and obtain his endorsement on the body of the application.
