Section 8(1) in The Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised) Service Rules, 1982
(1)Age. - A candidate for direct recruitment to the Service, other than serving teacher shall be within the age limit of minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years on the first day of January of the year of recruitment :Provided that the age limit of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes shall be regulated by the general orders of the Government issued from time to time.
