Section 1 in The Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act, 2011.
1. Short title, extent, commencement and duration. —
(1)This Act may be called the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act. 2011.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Maharashtra.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and shall cease to have effect on the expiry of five years from the said date except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such cesser of operation of this Act; and section 7 of the Bombay General Clauses Act, 1904, shall apply upon such cesser of operation of this Act as if it had then been repealed by a Maharashtra Act.
