Date : 11-08-2023 Heard Mr. L. Sangtam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Dutta, Page No.# 2/2 learned counsel for the respondent nos. 1 & 2.

Mr. Dutta, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 1 & 2 has submitted that the Circle Officer, Nagaon Sadar Circle, Nagaon considered the case of the petitioner along with others for conversion of annual patta land to periodic patta land. After consideration, it has been found in case of the petitioner that the petitioner was not a pattadar in respect of the lands for which he made the claim and the case of the petitioner has been reflected. The said decision is contained in a Communication bearing no. NSRC/2023/345 dated 10.10.2022. As a decision has been taken for compliance of the direction made in the order dated 20.04.2022 passed in the writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 2049/2022, the contempt petition which has been filed alleging non-compliance of the said direction, stands closed.

A copy of the Communication bearing no. NSRC/2023/345 shall be furnished by Mr. Dutta, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 1 & 2 to Mr. Sangtam, learned counsel for the petitioner.

A copy of the said Communication bearing no. NSRC/2023/345 is to be kept as part of the case records.
