(8)[ in case he was elected under clause (c), clause (d) or clause (e) of subsection (1) of section 5 and has ceased to be a member of the staff of the Medical College concerned, also on the expiry of three months from the date of such cessation or on the election of his successor, whichever occurs earlier.] [Added by section 3(ii) of the Madras Medical Registration (Amendment) Act, 1943 (Madras Act IV of 1943).
