Information sought

and background of the case:

The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 13.03.2023 seeking information on following points:-

"a) please provide information related to Advertisement No. 01 of 2017 dated 18-01-2017 for the Past of Groundsman class, as:-

1) Please provide status of appointment of Arshad Mehmood s/o Manzoor Hussain appearing at S.No. 02 of waiting ust (om) of final Selection ust.

(ii) Please Provide copy of response recieved from GAD related to appointment of Arshed Mehmood s/o Manzoor Hossain for the request sent OM. NO. YSS-

Adm/424/2021-4845 (Computer No 100337) dated 06-06-2022"

The CPIO and Dy Director, Dte of Youth Services and Sports vide letter dated 10.04.2023 replied as under:-

"It is submitted that 07 candidates were appointed on the basis of selection made by the selection committee as Class- IV(Groudnsman) under OM Category vide this office order No: DG-YSS/Estt/9234-38 dated 23-03-2021 in District Cadre Rajouri. However S.No.06 Umer Shabir S/O Mohd Shabir RO Dhanore did not join within the stipulated time.

The matter stands already taken up with the Administrative YSS/Estt/4737 Department vide No.Dir- dated 15-12-2021.(Copy enclosed) The information as sought pertains to Administrative Department (Youth Services and Sports) Civil Secretariat, J&K."

Dissatisfied with the response received from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 24.04.2023 which was not adjudicated by the FAA as per available records.

Aggrieved and dissatisfied, the Appellant approached the Commission with the instant Second Appeal.

Facts emerging in Course of Hearing:

Appellant: Absent Respondent: Smt Parul Kajuria, CPIO The Appellant remained absent during the hearing despite prior intimation. Smt Parul Kajuria reiterated the earlier reply provided to the Appellant and stated that complete information as per available record was provided to the Appellant.

Decision:

Keeping in view the facts of the case and the submissions made by both the parties, the Commission is of the view that an appropriate response as per the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005 has been provided by the Respondent. Hence, no further intervention of the Commission is required in the instant matter.

With the above observation, the instant Second Appeal stands disposed off accordingly.
