Section 23(1) in The Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University Act, 1978
(1)Each Faculty shall have the general control and power of regulation of, and be responsible for, the maintenance of standards of teaching and examinations of the University for the subject comprised in it.
