Section 14(1) in Tamil Nadu Right of Children to free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2011
(1)A School Management Committee (hereinafter in this rule referred to as the Committee) shall be constituted in every school, other than an unaided school, with not less than nine members within its jurisdiction, within six months of the appointed date, and reconstituted every two years:Provided that, no member other than an ex-officio member shall serve as a member of the Committee for more than two terms.'
