Section 2 in The Indian Registration (Maharashtra Amendment) Act, 1975
2. Amendment of section 80-A of Act XVI of 1908.
- In section 80A of the Registration Act, 1908, in its application to the State of Maharashtra,-(a)in sub-section (1), for the portion beginning with the words "If on inspection" and ending with the words "arrear of land revenue" the following shall be substituted, namely :-"If on inspection or otherwise it is found that any fee payable under this Act has not been paid or has been paid insufficiently, such fee may (after failure to pay the same on demand within the period specified therein), on a certificate of the Inspector-General of Registration, be recovered as an arrear of land revenue from the person from whom such demand is made;",(b)for the marginal note, the following shall be, substituted, namely :-"Recovery of fees, and provision for refund".NotificationsNo. RGN. 1089/CR-1033/M-1, dated 5th February, 1990 (M.G.G., Part IV-B, p. 228). - In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of subsection (1) of section 88 of the Registration Act, 1908 (XVI of 1908), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, the Government of Maharashtra hereby specifies for the purposes of the said section 88, the holder, for the time being, of the office of the Registrar, National Institute for Training in Industrial Engineering, Bombay.No. Mudrank 1094/4957/CR-1123/M-1, dated 20th February, 1997 (M.G.G., Part IV-B, p. 323). - In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 88 of the Registration Act, 1908 (XVI of 1908), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, the Government of Maharashtra hereby specifies for the purposes of the said section 88, the holders for the time being, of the offices of the Senior Divisional Manager and Marketing Manager of the Mumbai Divisional Office of the Life Insurance of Corporation of India.No. RGN. 2007/384/CR-46/M-1, dated 22nd November, 2007 (M.G.G., Part IV-A, p. 532). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of the Registration Act, 1908 (XVI of 1908), in its application to the State of Maharashtra, the Government of Maharashtra hereby establishes, with effect from the 22nd November, 2007, the office to be styled as office of the Joint Sub-Registrar, mentioned in column (4) of the Schedule appended hereto, in the Registration. Sub-District of the Registration District mentioned against it in columns (3) and (2) of the said Schedule respectively :-
